If there is one thing that sports nerds love its fantasy sporting. That's why I am proud to announce the inaugural Sporting Nerd fantasy basketball league: The Basketball Nerd. G has brought up the question of whether to use standard or auction style draft. In our previous league incarnation last year we did auction. I liked it but don't feel strongly either way.
HOWEVER, standard format is clearly less nerdy
The economist in me loves the auction format and opposes the random snaking turn order nonsense. Also, I'm fine with 10 people, but if we have enough interest to field a 12-team league, that would be more interesting and competitive since it would making playing the waiver wire more important
