Rinku Singh Ladies and Gentlemen!
Rinku Singh became the first Indian born player to win a professional baseball game when he got the timely K in a 10-5 victory. Remember this guy? Him and Dinesh Patel won the contest the "million dollar arm" where they went around India and looked for the two dudes that could throw a baseball the fastest. Dinesh and Rinku won by throwing in the high 80s. They then went and trained with USC's baseball coach and were picked up by the Pirate's farm system.
Notable hilarity: during an interview on ESPN they asked these guys if they knew who Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron were. Answers to both "No surrr." These guys basically knew nothing about baseball at all and probably still think of it as cricket without wickets. I mean in all likelihood neither one will ever start in the show, but its still pretty amazing what they have done in such a short time. Especially considering that they probably spend most of the day studying for the MCAT.
"Both teams played hard...goodnight and godbless."
