A friend of mine was the one to break the news to me yesterday that Cliff Lee got traded. He was heartbroken, saying that the only Indians games he could watch were the ones in which Lee was pitching. I had to respectfully take another view. For me, it was those Lee games that were the hardest to watch. This former Cy winner goes out there and gives you good innings with the 7th best ERA in the league, and his team--or Curtis Granderson-- manages to arrange a 7-9 record for him at this point in the season. Cliff Lee has been the "bright spot" for the Tribe in this "Progressive Field" era, but I am sick of seeing him get the shaft. Either he's getting no run support, his bullpen is imploding, or in most cases, both. I am glad to see Cliff traded to a contender, where his talents will be supported and celebrated.
