Pitino Should Remind Media That It's Scott Hamilton's Birthday

On Wednesday, Rick Pitino tore the media a new one for printing and broadcasting 100% lies about his indiscretions "on the day that Ted Kennedy died." It was tasteless in his mind for sports reporters to continue covering the fallout from his scandalous behavior rather than spending more time on the touchdown pass that Teddy K caught in the 1955 Harvard-Yale game. Today would be an equally inappropriate day for the media to run stories about Pitino, as it is the 51st birthday of gold medal figure skater Scott Hamilton. Pitino should point out that Hamilton overcame cancer in 2004, and he needed support to come back from that, not unlike the support that Pitino gave the Louisville community in coping with 9/11. Whether or not Rick Pitino paid for an abortion for a woman that he had consensual, adulterous sex with in a closed restaurant should not matter today. The only thing that should matter today is Scott Hamilton, and maybe also how great Louisville recruiting classes continue to be.
