The Forcier is Strong With This One...

There was pretty much nothing that Michigan needed more than to open the season by spanking Western. Done. Of course WM is not an elite team and no songs of redemption should be sung in the BIG house just yet. But we did confirm one important thing last afternoon: the Rodriguez offense is effective when played with Rodriguez players. Forcier looked the part the whole game, flashing both threats and making decisions quickly and effectively. Denard Robinson looked crazy, shoelace is as fast as they say and will be a weapon if can actually throw. Seeing him run around in a Michigan uniform was actually hilarious...I felt like I was watching an Oregon game. Now Western's D isn't something to write home about but their offense is "pretty good" as every commentator likes to point out. The Michigan D held up pretty nicely though...it seems that someone taught them how to tackle in the last year. The Notre Dame game should actually be exciting this year and will certainly be a better test of our secondary. 8 or 9wins is in no way out of the question for this team, patience with Rich will pay off it seams. After all if he can change the culture of Michigan football so much with B+ and A- recruits imagine what he can do when he starts bringing in the A team. Winning heals all wounds.

"Both teams played hard...goodnight and godbless."
