Terrelle Owens: Hey man, he's just going with the plays that are called

This was TO's press conference after Buffalo's loss this sunday, a loss in which Mr. Owens failed to record a catch (the first time since his rookie season). As you can see TO proceeds to answer every single question in the conference with "I'm just going with the plays that are called." Which is an alright strategy I suppose if you have a history of saying crazy stuff that pisses people off, except TO manages to sound surly and arrogant even when he is just saying that when a play is called he "goes" with it. Actually this is somewhat reminiscent of a certain classic press conference with a certain Rasheed Wallace in which the phrase "both teams played hard" was used to answer every single question. In truth I feel bad for TO a little bit, its obvious that these sports reporters are egging him on: "TO are you frustrated?" "TO should they be getting you the ball more?" -- and when he answers with "I'm just going with the plays that are called" they say "you could just say no." Even when he says nothing Owens is implying that he is frustrated and that he wants the ball more: surprise TO is a PR nightmare!

"I'm just going with the plays that are called...goodnight and godbless."

  1. Shout out to Mike Wilbon for correctly identifying this as "the Thelonious Monk look finally brought to Buffalo."
