Jordan Continues to Ruin Stockton's Life

The 2009 hall-of-fame class is in...oh did I say class? I meant Michael Jordan is in the hall of fame since that's all that anyone seems to be able to report. Never mind the no names (Stockton, Robinson, Stringer, and Sloan) who are basically riding the coat tails of Jordan to sort of back door their way into the hall. Seriously though I feel bad for Stockton: though he was one of the most prolific point men ever (all-time leader in assists and steals) and a baller in the true Jerry West mold, he was denied an NBA title by Jordan twice (Sloan was denied too, but atleast he is still fighting for a title). That Utah team was crazy good too, a two-peat team that was probably comparable to the 94-95 Rockets. But instead of earning that place in the pantheon of team success, Stockton had to settle for the personal accolade of the hall call...except Jordan was there to dominate that too. If only Stockton retired a year later.

"Both teams played hard...goodnight and godbless."
