Okay, so maybe Gael and Rafa's popping veins and massive bi's and tri's dwarf the bodies of McEnroe and Borg only because today's tennis pros spend a lot more time in the gym than did their 1970's predecessors. But Jackie Chu, who played in the 2001 Illinois state high school girls tennis tournament, had this to say about the matter in an interview earlier this week: "We were all doing it. In fact, we would shoot each other full of steroids on the bus on the way home from a tournament so that we could hit the gym early the next morning. Although, at prom, I did throw a table through a window when they told me not to mosh on the dance floor." But yet another instance of foul play in Illinois is hardly an indictment of the entire sport. Evidence will only come when Roger Federer tests positive for a rare form of estrogen.
I don't know about the juice, but there certainly has been a lot of powder (http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5ior0Dr0YGlpkg0d7PkPTw6zhMh6w). I wonder what year drug tests were implemented in professional tennis? Tell me McEnroe wasn't a fan...
