According to espn.com's review of last night's draft, Gerald Henderson is being compared to a young Raja Bell, and Christian Eyenga is being compared to a young Mikael Pietrus. I realize that NBA teams need to be a complete collection of athletes, and that not every draft pick should be expected to be a superstar some day. Basketball has to have its offensive linemen too. But then just compare player to player. "Gerald Henderson reminds me of Raja Bell." How hard is that? This obsession with each draft pick being a "young" version of an NBA player--however marginal--is weird to me. That's right, young man. Keep your game up, keep your eye on the prize, and you could be the next Mookie Blayock. In fact, I would compare you to a young Bryon Russell.
